Tradezella Alternative: MyTradeEdge vs Tradezella

Where Tradezella is stronger
- Trade replay. On Pro and Ultra you can replay trades on 1-second charts. MyTradeEdge does not have trade replay in the journal.
- Manual backtesting on charts. Tradezella lets you practise a strategy bar by bar on historical charts. Our Backtest app tests rule-based strategies automatically instead; it is not a manual replay tool.
- Maturity. Tradezella has been around longer and lists far more broker integrations. MyTradeEdge is a younger product, built by a futures trader.
Where MyTradeEdge is a better fit
- You want to start free. The free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card, so you can import real trades before you pay for anything.
- You trade futures on prop firm accounts. Both journals handle prop firm rules. MyTradeEdge is built around futures and tracks your prop firm accounts with drawdown and daily loss limits next to the trades that used them. Our free prop firm drawdown calculator shows how intraday and end-of-day trailing rules move your floor.
- You are fine with file import. MyTradeEdge has no broker sync. You upload a CSV of closed trades, or the NinjaTrader 8 trade export, which also covers Rithmic accounts traded through NinjaTrader.
- You want separate apps. Journal, Backtest, Trading Plan and Autotrader are separate apps. You can use only the journal and ignore the rest.
Which one should you choose?
If trade replay and manual chart backtesting are the reason you journal, Tradezella is the stronger choice and worth the subscription. If you mainly need a clean record of your futures trades, AI feedback on them and a clear view of your prop firm limits, and you would rather not pay before you see results, try the MyTradeEdge free plan first and decide with your own data.
