Where Tradervue is stronger
- Exit and fee analysis. Gold includes trade exit performance analysis, max potential P&L analysis and commissions and fees support. If you study how much you leave on the table at exits, that is a real reason to stay.
- Mentoring. Both plans list unlimited mentors and mentees, so a coach can review your journal.
- Charts. Tradervue lists automatic price charts on several timeframes, intraday and running P&L charts, and Renko, volume bar and range bar charts.
- Track record. Tradervue has been around for years. MyTradeEdge is a younger product, built by a futures trader.
Where MyTradeEdge is a better fit
- You want to start free. MyTradeEdge has a free plan with no time limit. Tradervue's pricing page shows paid plans from $29.95 per month.
- You want to start free with file import. Neither journal syncs Tradovate directly: Tradervue reads a Tradovate orders report, MyTradeEdge a CSV of closed trades (symbol, P&L, date). MyTradeEdge lets you do it on a free plan.
- You trade prop firm accounts. MyTradeEdge shows the daily loss limit, max drawdown and profit target you set for each prop account next to its trades. Drawdown is counted from the starting balance, not trailed, so check trailing rules against your firm. Our free prop firm drawdown calculator shows how trailing rules move your floor.
- You want AI feedback. The MyTradeEdge AI coach grades each trade and flags revenge trading and overtrading. Tradervue's pricing page does not mention AI features.
When to stay with Tradervue
Stay with Tradervue if you already pay for Gold and use its exit and fee reports, or if a mentor reviews your trades there. Moving journals costs time, and those reports are good. If you mainly want a clean record of your futures trades, prop firm limits you can see at a glance and feedback on your discipline, try the MyTradeEdge free plan with a few weeks of trades before you renew.
